General Terms and Conditions

§ 1 Scope of application

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all contracts between German Legal Tech Hub GmbH (hereinafter “Provider”) and the customer regarding membership in the German Legal Tech Hub and related services. Deviating terms of the customer shall not be recognised unless the Provider expressly agrees to their validity in writing.

§ 2 Subject matter of the contract

Depending on the membership model chosen, the provider makes the following services available to the customer:

• Access to the German Legal Tech Hub’s community platform
• Access to exclusive events, Roadshows and networking events
• Access to training courses for which a certificate of attendance under § 15 FAO is issued
• Matchmaking services and legal tech concierge (depending on membership tier)
• Access to curated Legal Tech news content

§ 3 Conclusion of contract

The presentation of membership options on the website does not constitute a legally binding offer, but an invitation to submit an order.

By submitting the registration, the customer makes a binding offer to conclude a membership agreement. The contract is only formed once confirmed by the provider.

§ 4 Membership and term

Membership begins once access has been activated and runs for the agreed term. Unless otherwise agreed, the minimum term is 12 months.

The membership is automatically extended by a further 12 months unless terminated with 3 months’ notice to the end of the respective term.

§ 5 Prices and payment terms

The prices valid at the time the contract is concluded apply. All prices are subject to statutory VAT.

Payment is made by direct debit, credit card or bank transfer. The membership fee is payable annually in advance.

§ 6 Termination

Notice of termination must be given in writing or by e-mail to info@germanlegaltechhub.com.

The right to extraordinary termination for good cause remains unaffected.

§ 7 Liability

The provider is liable without limitation for damages arising from injury to life, limb or health caused by a negligent or intentional breach of duty, as well as for other damages caused by an intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty.

§ 8 Data protection

The collection and processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the provider's privacy policy. The customer consents to the storage of their data for the purpose of contract performance.

§ 9 Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

The place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Hannover, provided the customer is a merchant.

Should individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
