What it’s about

Freshfields and the German Legal Tech Hub invite you to the Legal Tech Salon in Nuremberg – an exclusive evening for decision-makers from law, technology and innovation.

AI and Legal Tech have long since arrived in many legal departments. But where does real added value actually emerge in practice? When does AI genuinely ease the workload – and when does the necessary review effort itself become the real challenge? And how does the human role change when drafting becomes increasingly automated, while review still demands experience and judgement?

To open proceedings, Dr Lara Friederichs and Dr Stephan Hillenbrand of Freshfields, together with Dr Benedikt Epe-Quarch of the German Legal Tech Hub, share their experiences and thoughts on three key questions:

Steering, not just drafting

Where AI adds real value in managing complex information, processes and decisions.

Efficiency versus audit effort

When the use of AI actually eases the workload – and when the necessary oversight limits the benefit.

What remains with people?
How legal experience and judgement will be built in future as ways of working change through AI.

Afterwards, the focus shifts to personal exchange: no product presentations, no glossy slides, but real-world experience, different perspectives and open conversations.
In a deliberately small circle, drinks and finger food set the scene for exchange and encounters on equal footing.
